As the coronavirus lockdown continues, Smriti Jha continued on to a second project with SFS. She was so inspired by how much her previous project had helped so many young people that she once again raised enough money to donate 110 fully equipped kits. With great persistence, she received valuable donations of pads and tampons, and even raised over $200 to cover the rest of the costs. Each kit includes a covid-19 mask, soaps, washcloths, pads, tampons, a ziplock bag, and brown paper bags. These donations went to HomeFirst, a family homeless shelter, in Milpitas, CA. Thanks to her project, many young women now have access to necessary resources.
